Episode 32 - Zoomies

When I say zoomies, what is the first thing you think of? Hopefully it's of your dog so excited they are running back and forth - zoomies. Today we are going to talk about why our dogs get the zoomies.

Zoomies are a natural canine phenomenon.

• The technical name for dog zoomies is frenetic random activity periods or FRAPS according to the American Kennel Club.

• All dogs from Yorkies to Great Danes can get the zoomies.

• One is to get warm.

• Dogs may get the zoomies to release tension and anxiety.

• Zoomies may be a primal instinct for our dogs.

  • There is some evidence to believe that zoomies happen at certain times of the day.

• Your dog may want to celebrate a moment!

• They can also get the zoomies if they are in pain or scared.
